Meet the Teachers - Mary Hilliker, RD, E-RYT 500, CYT and Heather Van Dalfsen, M.Ed., RYT-200
Mary Hilliker, RD, E-RYT 500, CYT Mary is a certified Hatha and Viniyoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance, a national credentialing organization for yoga teachers, as an Experienced 500 hour yoga teacher. That means she has over 2000 hours of teaching experience teaching yoga to groups and individuals. She has been a student of yoga for 19 years and a teacher for 11 years. She also serves as Director of Administration for the American Viniyoga Institute and is the Training Coordinator for the AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training.
Mary received her 200 hr teacher certification in hatha yoga from Elizabeth (Chandler) Patric. Mary has studied with Gary Kraftsow and the faculty of the American Viniyoga Institute for 10 years, most recently completing advanced teacher training (500 hr) and Yoga Therapist training. Mary also has a 25 year career in public health, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention. She understands how personalized yoga practices intersect with and complement western medical treatments.
Mary's goal is to help students find yoga practices that are applicable to their daily life and personal goals. Her passion is the use of yoga for health and healing. She enjoys getting to know every student and their interests and needs. Classes taught by Mary emphasize strength, stability, and flexibility. Breath is linked with movement and flow. Breath awareness and development are emphasized in every class.

Heather Van Dalfsen, M.Ed, RYT 200
Heather has been practicing the principles of yoga for over 15 years. Her 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification is centered in the Viniyoga tradition, which links breath with movement for optimal health.
Heather’s experience as an educator, coach and entrepreneur brings balance and focus to her teaching.
Her intentions are to provide you with a welcoming space where you can take time from your busy schedule to find balance, strength, flexibility and relief from stress; both on your mat and in your daily routine with family and work.
Whether you would like to complement your exercise regime with yoga, or you are creating a space for yourself with yoga as your main focus, the benefits from a regular yoga practice will awaken you to your full potential.
